What is AARC?

By Tua | November 29, 2017

The Alberta Adolescent Recovery Centre (AARC), located in Calgary, AB, is a family-centric, cost-effective, long-term, semi-residential, full-time addiction treatment designed around the specific needs of the adolescent.

AARC’s mission is to provide hope for youth from 12-21 years of age suffering from substance addiction through an integral approach taking into account the whole person. They focus on the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual dimensions of the adolescent in order to facilitate the most effective recovery.

The program was established in 1990 in response to the lack of addiction recovery centers available for Canadians. It is run by clinical professionals, addiction specialists, board certified teachers, and peer counselors (trained graduates of the program) who work together with the adolescents and their families towards lifelong freedom from substances through 12 Step Recovery.

Why we choose to support them

TUA and AARC share a similar vision, we are a lot more interested in people’s present and future than their past. We look to give people the tools and support they need to achieve their goals, whether financial or health.

Not only do our visions align, but AARC is an amazing local non-profit we are proud to support so they can continue helping fellow Canadians.

Help us give back to this deserving charity, simply by paying back your loan on time.
